Our Wedding: Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss & Garter Throw

Today, I am sharing our cake cutting, bouquet toss & garter throw!  All fun traditions that I'm glad we did :)  One tip for brides to be: We had our bridal party announced, did all the first dances, cake cutting, toasts, garter & bouquet etc. all in a row.  That way everyone could just watch it all and then when we were done, we were done and the reception could start.  It's so hard to get everyone to pay attention later to these festivities so I'm glad we did it all at the beginning!

Love.

The wine we toasted with was a bottle we bought at the winery the day we got engaged and is the same bottle you can see in our engagement pictures in the orchard!

Time to toss!

Love Abbe!  She and I worked together at Red Lobster for several years in high school and she dates one of my & Jared's friends from high school, Austin.

Lauren caught part too!

This might have been one of my favorite moments of the night!

Jared had to come back out to ask me which garter he was supposed to take.  Probably should have let him know that before lol.  Whoops!  It was really funny though.

Jared & Austin!

Love that one of our favorite real life couples caught the bouquet & garter!

    1. Thanks! We came up with that idea the day we got engaged and loved incorporating it into our pictures & wedding day!

  2. The wine from when you got engaged?! SO adorable!! I love that a real life couple caught the garter and bouquet. The most recent wedding I went to was kind of awkward with the garter and bouquet because the brides friend caught the bouquet, and then her sisters boyfriend caught the garter.

Thanks for linking u with us!

  4. I love all the little traditions! That's a great idea to do everything right away and get it out of the way! We did everything except the garter/boquet toss and cake cutting at the beginning then those three at the same time later.
