Chocolate Lasagna



If you haven't had Chocolate Lasagna, you are missing out!  This is one of our favorite desserts in our house right now.   I made a batch for Jared to have when he returned from his work trip and thought I needed to share this recipe with you all!  It is very light and easy to make which makes it perfect for get-together's when you need a dessert that will please everyone!

Ingredients

Mini Chocolate Chips (I use about a cup)
1 Package Oreos
1 8oz. Package Cream Cheese (I use reduced fat)
8oz. Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
1/4 C sugar
3 C cold milk (I use skim)
4 Tbsp. Melted Butter
12oz Cool Whip

Directions

Place whole package of Oreo cookies in a gallon bag and use a meat tenderizer or rolling pin to turn into crumbs.  Mix these crumbs with your melted butter in a bowl and then press into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.  Let this sit in the refrigerator while working on your next few steps.
Mix your cream cheese in a bowl.  Add about 2 tablespoons of milk and your sugar and mix well.  Pour in about 1 and 1/2 cups cool whip and stir until mixed well.   Spread this mixture over the Oreo crust.
In a separate bowl, pour chocolate pudding mix into your cold milk.  Whisk until the pudding starts to thicken up and then spread this over the previous layer.  Let it sit for a few minutes to firm up.  Use the remainder of your cool whip to top the dish and sprinkle the chocolate chips across the top of the dessert.  Cover & refrigerate for 3-4 hours before serving.
