Happy Friday!!

I am so excited that Friday has finally arrived!  It has been a LONG week.  Our city water main broke early Monday morning and we just got water back late Tuesday night and were on a boil advisory until yesterday.  Luckily my dad and stepmom live in the next county so we stayed there Monday night so we could shower & use the bathroom.  We also had our ribbon cutting and grand opening of our new office yesterday.  Yesterday was also the kickoff of the Nordstrom Sale (to see my budget friendly favorites click here).  To wrap it up: this girl is tired.

I'm ready for some relaxing tonight and then Jared and I are going to be tackling several inside & outside house projects this weekend!  We are going to get our backyard and garage in order and clean out a few closets.  It's going to be a lot of work but I will be so relieved when it's done.

Before we jump into the weekend, I have several favorites from this week to share with you!

Since I couldn't work on Monday (no toilets...eww), I packed up my stuff and spent the day at my dad and stepmom's house.  Darlene got sent home early too so we grabbed a yummy lunch at our local bed & breakfast and then I worked on planner stuff at their kitchen table until I had a meeting with Jared and a contractor.

Our grand opening at work was definitely another favorite!  I love our new office building and I seriously have the best boss in the world so I was so excited to celebrate! Also, now all the "new" is over and we can just settle in and get back to work.  I'm very much looking forward to some normalcy!

I mentioned a meeting with a contractor above!  After searching high and low for a new house and considering building to no avail, we have decided to remodel parts of our house and stay put.  The market is oversaturated with buyers where we live and everything is way overpriced and just not good.  We are excited about the changes we are going to be making.  I'll be blogging & posting on IG some behind the scenes and before & afters so stay tuned for those!  I also have a post coming up explaining how we came to this decision and what changes we will be making.

I'm loving the 10K runner app!  If you're looking into running, I highly recommend this app.  It has been so helpful to me in guiding my runs!  I do need some new running music to listen to so send me any recommendations!

That wraps it up for this week!  I'll be back with a new post on Monday.  If you want to see what we're up to this weekend be sure to hop over and follow me on Instagram.

  1. I can't wait to hear about your reno plans! And yay for water - that would be tough to not have it. So glad your dad and stepmom were good to go so you guys could stay there!
