Public Library

The local public library is not something I take advantage of enough!  I went last week to pick up a few books and enjoyed it SO much!  There is just something about a library that instantly makes me wish for school, scarves, hot chocolate and a good library study session.  

I am on a mission to reduce the waste in our house.  I've watched wayyy too many Netflix documentaries lately but I am glad because it has really changed the way I view consumption.  I think I'll do a complete post on that one day.  Would you all be interested in hearing about that?

Getting books from the library is a great way to reduce waste and reduce spending!

Consistent Exercise

I have been very consistent lately about getting some sort of exercise in 4-5 times a week and feel so much better.  I still have quite a bit of weight I want to lose but I am slowly getting there. 
Working out just makes me feel so much better mentally which is amazing!  It helps me focus, clears my head and gives me energy!  I have been using the 10K runner app, walking and trying to do some squats, lunges, pushups & planks too.  Since winter is coming, I think I'm going to join our local health center to swim on the days I don't want to be on the treadmill.  I love swimming laps, too!

Fitbit Charge 3

To help motivate myself to move everyday, I have been saving up for the new Fitbit Charge 3 that comes out on Sunday!  I love that it's simple.  I think the smart watches are great but they are NOT for me.  I am trying to get away from technology and I feel like those bind you to it even more.  The Fitbit Charge 3 tracks your steps, sleep and will even count your laps while you swim!! That is the feature I am most excited about.

  1. I love the local library! They will even "order" in books they don't have from other area library. I really need to get a regular exercise routine going.

  2. The library is my happy place. It took me a few years to actually get a library card after I first moved to MO, and I kick myself when I think about that! It's just the best!
